Assessing Europe’s Trade-Policy Strategy

How does Europe’s combination of multilateralism and bilateralism fit together in a broad trade-policy strategy? At this seminar Patrick Messerlin, Professor of Economics at Sciences Po in Paris and a leading expert on European trade policy, will present a new study that assesses the EU’s bilateral ambitions and its position in the Doha Round. To comment on Messerlin’s study we have invited Gaspar Frontini (tbc) the Chief Economist of DG Trade (European Commission), and Jim Rollo (tbc) Professor of European Integration and Director of the European Institute at the University of Sussex.
